Privacy Policy
Last updated 11 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data Ledgerwire collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to our email newsletter.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you choose to subscribe to the newsletter.
- Your consent record — which boxes you ticked and the exact time you submitted the form. We also store the IP address, browser user-agent, language header and referring page from that request. This is kept as proof that consent was freely given, which we are required to be able to demonstrate.
- Email engagement — whether a message was delivered, opened, or had a link clicked.
We do not ask for your name, postal address, phone number or any financial information, and we have no user accounts or passwords.
Why we use it
- To send the newsletter you asked for.
- To keep an auditable record of consent, so we can show that a subscription was legitimate.
- To understand in aggregate which stories are read, so we can make the briefing better.
Our legal basis is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Who processes it
Newsletter delivery and subscriber management are handled by SendX, our email service provider, acting as a data processor on our behalf. Your address is shared with them for that purpose only. We do not sell, rent or trade subscriber data with anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep your address and consent record for as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your address is removed from the active mailing list; a minimal suppression record is retained so we do not accidentally email you again.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. The fastest way to withdraw consent is the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email — it works in one click and takes effect immediately.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page.
